With incomplete dominance, a heterozygous individual shows a blend of the parents' two traits. Neither allele (or gene) inherited completely dominates the other; instead, the two traits mix for a completely different phenotype in the offspring. For example, in some flowers, a true-breeding (or homozygous) red-flowering plant crossed with a true-breeding white-flowering plant will create offspring with pink flowers.
