What are some descriptions of Amir's home?

Amir’s home was located in the Wazir Akbar Khan district, an affluent neighborhood. On account of the neighbors and Amir, the house was well built and beautiful.

The house had marble floors, a crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling and Gold-stitched draperies lined up the walls. The house had four bathrooms covered by mosaic tiles. The house was a single storey building with bedrooms and a study located upstairs.

The living room was on the ground floor and had a curved wall with cabinets where family pictures were placed.  The dining room was also located on the ground floor adjacent to the living room and was fitted with a large mahogany table at the center. A fireplace was located on one end of the dining room.

A large door opened from the dining room leading outside to a two-acre backyard garden. A modest servant’s house was located south of the garden. This was where Hassan and Ali lived.
